Some Friday

A less than pleasant day for me today. I had to go to Bank Islam for some transactions. They've moved to the new UMNO building. Nice new office and all TAPI punyala sengsara jalan keluar masuk nya...situ jalan masuk situ juga jalan keluar..mana kereta semua berparking lagi kiri kanan..seriously jadi macam jalan kampung yang narrow gila..motosikal saja boleh limpas. Huh!

Afternoon, I wanted to go out for some supplies, but suddenly gales of howling wind blew outside..tingkap pun bergegar2...aduh apa ini....puting beliung ka...it really was some sort of typhoon. The kids were unhappy to be ordered inside and not allowed on bicycles which obliged me to make them their favorite popia to cheer up the long faces. But barely 10 minutes in process, it blacked out! 2nd time for today. Adehh....out came the emergency light again. I ploughed on. I was determined to finish the whole packet and stock them up in the freezer. Maka berbekalkan cahaya lampu bateri, dengan gigihnya akak menggulung popia sampai habis. And then I remembered my frozen cheesecake! I should slice them before it thaw!. So I ran to the fridge and gladly found it was still hard . There! look much better. (thanx Min)

The power came back after 2 hours or so and I quickly cook my rice. Penat akak berlari-lari ni! (my maid just left for the weekend). By this time, the strong wind turned to heavy rain. When my hubby came in, he looked dishevelled. What I didn't realized while making popias was, the gardener 's hut was almost blown apart! Oh dear...why didn't I check on him...

Ok no one got hurt. Tomorrow we'll bulldoze the thing anyway and get them a new place for a while.
