I don't have a pet, but my sister just bought a Persian cat.
Not very cute in my opinion but he's fun when you play with him. It's a him. They named him 'the chosen one' , (konon..).
Ofcourse the kids adored him. They like to tease him with a colorful rope. He's only 5 months. Is that young or big? His physic is exactly like Garfield and he's tabby, just like a chubby 6 month old baby, really.
Before Chosen, they had these.
Colorful ayam serama. Actually in person, they look revolting. The color is sickening. Well maybe the kids insisted to have them.
Very little chicks. And then they lost them (lost!) after a few months. Wandered out of the house and never came back.
I seriously hope the cat lasts longer.
I guess pets are nice for something to play with or look at, but the maintenance is a hassle. That's where you don't last long if you're not really into it. I myself had thought of having an aquarium of colorful exotic fish. I like the sleek high-tech tank that isn't bulky and fixed on the wall, you know what I mean? It look like a plasma TV but not as thin ofcourse. I think it's going to be lovely for the house. But once I think about the cleaning and maintaining, plus back-up system for powercut, I get deflated. Sigh.
